This September, our Head of Impact and Distribution, Chloe Genga, will travel to Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, to take part in the Brazil–Africa Audiovisual Meetings at the Mostra Festival (15–19 September).
Chloe will join an international Think Tank of practitioners who are shaping how African films reach audiences on the continent, across the diaspora, and globally. The group includes:
- Carmen Thompson – We Are Parable (United Kingdom)
- Nicola Ofoego – Black Mic Mac (France)
- Samira Vera-Cruz – PALOP-TL Cinema and Audiovisual Network (Cape Verde)
- Themba Bhebhe – Engage (United Kingdom)
Together, they will reflect on impact-driven distribution, audience design, and the role of transatlantic networks.
For us at LBx, this is an important space to exchange strategies, test ideas, and continue learning as we work to expand the reach and impact of African cinema.
